Carara National Park

Considered one of the most biodiverse National Parks in Costa Rica due to its location in the convergence zone between the dry forest and the tropical rain forest.

This unique National Park is located around 1.5 hour driving from Manuel Antonio and Quepos Area but on the way there  will be some stops to take advantage of spots with pastures, lookout poits, galery forest and more.

Carara offers universal trails as well as meandricas that give us a view of different ecosistems, secondary and primary forestt, lagun like and open areas.

Bird like Turquoise-Browed Motmot, Red Capped, Velvety and Orange Collared Manakins, Black Headed Trogon, Scarlet Macaw, Antbirds and Warbles will be some of the targets.

Ask for an extended tour visiting Tarcoles River, river mouth and mangrove forest. FULL DAY

What to bring:

Binoculars, confortable clothes and shoes ( long sleeves and pants hight recomended) neutral colors, water, snacks, camara, hat and extra clothe during the raining season ( may to september)
